In this exhibit, I plan to show how despite experiencing a different Trinity experience from their white colleagues, Trinity student-athletes who come from an ethnic minority background persevered and became influential in the history of Trinity Athletics. 

Trinity University's tennis program has arguably the richest history of all Tiger athletics. There have been grand slam champions, Division-1 super teams, and a number of fantastic coaches behind all of the achievements. In the recent history of Trinity Tennis, the program underwent a transition to Division-3 and a tumultuous period of growth. In the midst of all this was head coach Butch Newman who took the program to the very top where it remains today. This exhibit highlights the coaching career of Newman and his impact on the Trinity community. 

An exhibit that details that positive and negative factors that led to the successes and subsequent fall from competitiveness of Trinity University's baseball team in the early 1970s.

This exhibit highlights the women's tennis team and their success from 1981-1985. 

This exhibit will showcase what the game of Flickerball was and the people that played it. Flickerball became popular at Trinity in the 1970s. Flickerball was played by independent student teams as well as many Greek teams, included the Omega Phi Fraternity amongst others. Eventually Flickerball faded into obscurity during the late 1990s and early 2000s, and today, many Trinity sudents do not know that Flickerball even existed.

This exhibit examines the generational ideologies athletes, both players and coaches, have felt pressured by while being involved in Trinity University atheltics.  Over many generations it seems as though younger generations at Trinity have different ideas on how their teams and coaches have pushed them in a game day situation where they felt as though an injury could restrain them from playing.
