This exhibit will cover the Trinity University Trap and Skeet team from its creation in 1970 and will go more specifically into the coach of the team Colonel Tom Hanzel and his illustrious 15 year career.

This exhibit highlights and describes Trinity Football's lack of support and prominence on campus throughout the last few decades, even though football has only grown in popularity in the US.
Trinity University Weight Room converted from a Bowling Alley
Beginning in the early 1990's, there was an athletic expansion buzz across the country amongst universities. Trinity decided to take their outdated and useless weight room and make it much better. They found space that was the old bowling alley and decided it was not going to good use, so they cleared it out and constructed the weight room in the same space over the course of 18 months that has brought a world of change to the school.
Trinity University's Division I Men's Tennis Team
Beginning in the 1920s, the Trinity University Tennis Program has developed into a nationall recognized powerhouse. All of the credit can go to three main people: Clarence Mabry, Chuck McKinley and Butch Newman. These three men were standouts during their time here at Trinity are have also left the biggest impact on the program as a whole. This page will delve further into each of them plus matches that they played in and an overview of the 1970s and '80s which were widely regarded as the "Golden Era" for Trinity tennis.
Trinity Women's Soccer, the USWNT, and the National Rise of Women's Soccer
During the early 1990s the women's soccer scene in the United States had a sudden rise in popularity partially due to the USWNT's World Cup victory in 1991. This popularity effected women's soccer players and teams across the nation, including the women's soccer program at Trinity University who began to establish themselves as a powerhouse.
Trinity's Change in Athletic Culture
Trinity University has a history of athletic excellence. The success of the athletics progam has been consistent since the beginning. However, there have been several key changes over time. Perhaps the biggest of these changes is the overall culture revolving athletics on campus.
This exhibit will highlight this change by using former Tiger star and current coach Gretchen Rush to provide an example of how things used to be, and the overall change in athletic culture.
Trinity's First Black Athletes and Their Effect on Trinity Black Culture
When Trinity first integrated there was push back, civil and discriminatory. However, the young men, who came out of such a pressured environment, built a community which was considered a safe haven for African American students. During a tumultuous period of American history these athletes showed bravery and moxxy, letting nothing keep them down.
Trinity's Powerhouse Baseball Program Over the Years
This exhibit will explore Trinity baseball and the powerhouse program it became under Coach Scannell, who was the 2016 National Coach of the year. This exhibit has many different components from strategy, interviews and a historical context into how baseball has developed through the years.
Trinity's Swim Team: a legacy
Trinity University's swim team has carried ongoing success within their swim team for over 27 years. This exhibit hopes to acknowlege and honor the athletes and coaches for all their hard work that built the reputation the tigers carry to this day.

TU Bowling: A Forgotten Legacy
While much is known about the long gone bowling alley in the gymnasium, there is very little attention on Trinity University's bowling history. The bowling alley was not quite frequented in its last moments but the students made great use of it during the seventies. This exhibit focuses on how bowling thrived on campus in the seventies through its strong bowling team and created an environment which allowed women to flourish as athletes.
TUVB: Ashley Farrimond's Legacy
This exhibit will examine the impact of Ashley Farrimond in her years playing Trinity volleyball from 2001-2004. This four time All-American holds many records within the Trinity University Record books and has received multiple awards for her successes. Not only did Farrimond have a hand in the success of Trinity Volleyball from ‘01-’04 but she continues to affect it with her mastery of the setting position and the traits that allowed her to be a successful leader. She accomplished great success through rewards and titles; however, the greatest of them was being able to leave an imprint in history and contribute to the successes of Trinity Volleyball today.
