Why Trinity?

Trinity has long had a tradition of success in different sports from the very beginning to its current state. Sports are integral to its history from Wimbledon champions to the transition from division 1 to division three. How does this small university repeatedly make such a large impact on the athletic world in the collegiate atmosphere, what makes Trinity so special? While that overarching question cannot quite be answered the individual sport's success can often be pinned down. The Trap and Skeet team for the university had a run of dominance in the 70s and continuing into the 80s. The man responsible for this dominance was Tom Hanzel who was inducted to the National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) in 1981.
