Introduction

The intraumural program is a place for students and faculty to blow off some steam and get away from the pressures that school brings by engaging in some friendly competition in various sports including flag football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, kickball, and others. Students today consider intramurals a standard part of campus life and can sometimes take it for granted, however the intramural program has not always been such a rock-solid part of the Trinity experience.

In 1965, the intramural sports program at Trinity was floundering, but through the dedicated work of Jim Potter and the students the both worked and played in intramurals, the program was turned around and became a popular and integral aspect of student life at Trinity.
