Today, his legacy lives on. Most that knew him would say he is remembered in the right way, with the Mabry pavilion built in his honor. The pavilion, dedicated to Mabry in 2008, stands at the highest point of the Tennis area of campus, looking down on to the Butch Newman tennis courts. “Clarence Mabry is very much still here, despite being physically gone” (Newman, interview)

He is well known globally for those who followed the tennis world during this era, but he is especially known in Texas, where he established Trinity University, a small liberal arts school in San Antonio, as one of the most dominant programs in the nation, producing some of the most talented players during Mabry's leadership in the 60s and 70s.

Today he is remembered through this state of the art building, serving as an observation and press box for tennis as well as a tournament center for tennis matches. It provides a centralized hub for matches, meetings and a permanent home for tennis trophies and memorabilia that have been acquired over the history of the program.
