Reflection

What did you enjoy about this project?

This project was, for lack of a better term, fun. It challenge me to go out of my comfort zone and dig deep into a topic (the Bell Center) that I did not know much about. It made me prepare interview questions for interviews and it made me learn to conduct professional interviews. Not only this but it helped me with my time management skills. I had to schedule a lot around my research time for this project.

What suprised you about this project?

The amount of time that this project took suprised me. I ended up finiding a lot more information than I thought I would while conducting my research. There is a backsotry to just about everything that is in the Bell Center.

What was the most challenging aspect of the project, and how did you manage it?

The most challenging part of the project for me was the interview process. Not only having to schedule an interview but having to write questions and have open conversations about my prooject with people was moe challengin than I would have thought.

If you could start over, what would you do differently?

If I could start over, I would have started doing research at the beginning of the semster whe nthe project was first introduced to us. I did a lot of work and research for this project but I would have been able to go deeper into almost everything I talk about in my essay. I would have been able to conduct more interviews and learned more about almost everything. Personally, I am very satisfied with the information that I found but I know that it could have been way more. My end essay was 6 pages but if this was my only assignment the whole semster I know it could have been 20 easy.

What did you learn about history and/or the historical process through this project?

I learned that the process of wirting history and about history is more difficult than people relaize. It makes me respect people who do that for a,iving more because I know it is not an easy job.

What did you learn through this project that can be applied to life outside the classroom?

I learned how to adapt not only my own schedules but how to work around other peopel schedules. I learned that no matter what obsticle hits you that it is important to adapt to it and to work around it.
