Women's Soccer at Trinity University
Above is a gallery including articles focusing on the Trinity Women's soccer program from it's inaugural season in 1977, all the way to the current decade (2010's). Through these articles written in The Trinitonian the reader can observe transformation in the women's soccer program, as well as the development Trinity has made. Extrapolating from only the women's soccer program is appropriate since similar development can be seen in other Trinity University program, both male and female. However, since the implementation of Title IX in 1972, marked improvements have been made in gender equality at Trinity University. While other schools may have had more trouble abiding by Title IX's restrictions, Trinity was an exception to this. Trinity created multiple athletic programs for women during the 1970's including, but not limited to, soccer, basketball, track and field, and skeet shooting. The Track and Field program will be focus upon later on in the exhibit.
