Lee Roy II
After Lee Roy's death, Trinity began actively searching for a tiger to be Lee Roy’s successor. Following a visit to India, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy received two tiger cubs as gifts. Student Association President Jim Ray wrote to Mrs. Kennedy asking for one of the cubs to be given to the university, but this attempt would remain unsuccessful. Before they arrived the United States, the cubs died and Mrs. Kennedy was given two baby pandas as a replacement, leaving Trinity to continue looking for its new Lee Roy.
