Introduction
The swim team has been a dominant part of the of the Trinity athletic program since the early 1990's. The 1990's was the start of a great tradition of exellence for Tiger swimming. With the introduction of head coach John Ryan in 1991, Trinity swimmers began to appear on the national radar of division III swimminig. Some of these swimmers include Sarah Scott who specialized in many events including the 200 yard inividual medley and 200 yard breaststroke. Shannon Clower who specailized in the longer distances such as the mile and the 1000 yard freestyle. As well as a more recent example, the 2014 national champion Stephen Culberson who was a pure freestyle sprinter. All of these swimmers accomplished amazing feats on the national level. Their accomplishments will forever go down in Trinity swimming history. All of these swimmers have one thing in common and that is contributing to the amazing team culure. This culure is a constant cycle of older swimmers showing the younger swimmers the ropes and eventually passing the tourch on to them to reinact a new generation of national recognition.
