Reflection

What did you enjoy about this project?

- What I enjoyed about this project was learning about all the history (as cliché as that sounds). Being apart of the swim team I never really look this far back. I knew about a few of the swimmers that came before me; but I never knew about some of the older ones.

What surprised you about this project?

-What surprised me about this project was how intricate it was. I didn't realize that it would be this much work, gathering research, statments, and content.

What was the most challenging aspect of the project, and how did you manage it?

-The most challenging aspect of the project was narrowing it down to exactly what story I wanted to tell. I changed mulitple times but I finally setteled on this topic.

If you could start over, what would you do differently?

-If I could start over I would start earlier. It was a little difficult with all the other work I had to do other than this project. If I didn't have such a diificult semsester I think the project would have turned out better.

What did you learn about history and/or the historical process through this project?

-What I learned is that compliling all the infomation needed to tell a historical narritive is a lot of work. It taked weeks if not months of reseach and a will to dig. Sometimes you hit a dead end, but if you push through you can find something that was worth all the digging. It could be something that will change you perspective on your subject.

What did you learn through this project that can be applied to life outside the classroom?

-If their is any skill I learned that I can use outside of the class room, it has to be flexability. Sometimes you think you have the subject you want and you want to stick to that subject as much as possible. If that subject proves to be harder than you think to rearch or work with, I feel like you have to be willing to adapt and change your though process, and think outside the box.
