Academic Standards

The high status of academics made it harder for Trinity coaches to attract players to the school. This meant that the school’s recruits, while they may have been smart individuals, were not necessarily the most talented group on the field. This was evident in the team’s play. Many of the players on the team were not even recruited to play football. They walked on and were able to make the team.
