Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference

The decades proceeding the 1990’s and 2000’s for Trinity tennis were full of countless successes. Unfortunately, after the shift from Division I to Division III, not only did the program’s overall record change, but so did the overall attitude. Because there was no longer as much athletic focused money being invested into the program, it was difficult for the athletes to continue to have the same attitudes and intense mindsets as that of Division I players who potentially receive more benefits. However, even with the transition to a less competitive division, there were still many wins for the Tigers. With the exception of 1993, 2007, 2008, and 2009, Trinity has won the SCAC championship every year from 1992 to 2016. Additionally, the Trinity tennis team even became the NCAA Division III National Champions. It took them a 9 year transition to get back on track with their exceptional record and achievements, but in 2000 they proved that no division could stop this team from proving they were outstandingly talented and nothing short of winners.
