Clarence "Father of Trinity Tennis" Mabry

Trinity University, as a whole, competed at the Division I level from 1950 to the mid-1980s and at the helm through those thirty years was the legendary coach Clarence, “Father of Trinity Tennis,” Mabry. Spanning an 18-year period (1956-1974), Coach Mabry amassed an immaculate record of 319-36, producing 10 All-Americans, and guiding the team to its one and only National Championship win in 1972. Coach Mabry and his tutelage were vital in establishing a nationally recognized program.
