Jeffries had a little bit more exciting NBA Career. He was drafted by the Denver ABA basketball team in 1969 and then played in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons in 1970. He said he liked playing for the Pistons because there were more minorities on the team and more minority fans. He eventually left because the team owners were telling him what to do and he did not like that. He also had the chance to play for the Coyboys in the NFL, but turned it down because they asked him in the middle of his college career and he wanted to finish his studies. After his sporting career he made money off of real estate.
