Signing Day

     Costley had performed very well his senior year which put a big target on his back for a lot of recruiters. Big named schools like Baylor and SMU had him out to visit. Despite the other offers, on July 4, 1970, Costley signed his letter of intent to Trinity University. He would later fully commit making the 5'7, 165 pound running back a Trinity Tiger.
