Reflection

What did you enjoy about this project?

- I enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the institution I proudly call home and understand what has contributed to the success of this great university.

What surprised you about this project?

- The amount of information that our wonderful librarians at Trinity have compiled throughout the years to ensure us the ability to research our school and its history in a convenient manner.

What was the most challenging aspect of the project, and how did you manage it?

- The most challenging portion of this project was managing the transition to synchronous learning and an inability to meet in person with professors and librarians to get feedback for my project.

If you could start over, what would you do differently?

- I think that I chose an interesting topic that had yet to be explored, however, I was also introduced to many other areas that could have been researched that would have proved to be more specific for the project.

What did you learn about history and/or the historical process through this project?

- First and foremost, I learned about the rich history of Trinity's success in a multitude of ways; but I also improved my researching skills. This is very important to me because I do believe it will be necessary for me in my career, but also I enjoy helping others with projects and I feel as if I can give helpful advice for others when doing similar historical projects.

What did you learn through this project that can be applied to life outside the classroom?

- Most importantly, this project enhanced my ability to take a simple subject and create a compelling argument as to its significance. In this practice, I found research that applied indirectly and directly to the subject to create an overarching story that would convincingly demonstrate my thought process on its significance. This is very helpful for my future.
