The President's Trophy is a special honor for one particular institution every year. The trophy is a representation of the most prestigious athletic program within the conference and is unique because it requires contributions from every team within the program that is associated with the conference. Every sports outcome produces a particular amount of points and the accumulated amount of points determines the winner (most points wins). For the majority of Trinity's association with the conference, this included every sport; however, the football team has since moved to the SAA (Southern Athletic COnference) due to a lack of football contributing teams within the SCAC. Nonetheless, this award is a symbol of contributed success. Trinity joined the conference in the early 90s and has quickly become the most dominant institution in the race for the prize considering it is the single most dominant school in terms of winning the trophy.
