"Crowds of Old"

The fact that the women’s tennis team was ranked so high and was anchored by an Olympian led to large crowd turnouts, and overall support around campus. In a 2016 interview, former tiger standout and Rush’s teammate Elvyn Leonard said that “whenever people came to watch at Trinity, teams were intimidated because our crowd was so big”, further confirming the fact that Trinity had a large amount of support (Leonard, 2016).

I personally play baseball here, and you'd be hard-pressed to find 100 people at most of our games. Every program here is successful, and even the ones that ranked nationally every year have small turnout. This is due to Trinity's change in divisions in the early 90's, and what seemed to be a push to make athletics less of a priority.
