Professional Career

Bob turned pro after finishing his collegiate career at Trinity University.  Although his professional career was short lived, there was a lot of be happy about.  He played at centre court at Wimbledon in 1973, centre court at the US Open, and was ranked 50th in the world at the time of his retirement.

He is not a man who regrets his decisions, rather sees them as potential missed opportunities.

"When I retired, I was beating guys who would eventually make it into the top 10 in the world.  If I kept playing, who knows, maybe I could have made it into the top 10."

While his professional career was full of excitement, his favorite moment of his career was playing at centre court at the US Open.  The chance to represent his country on the highest stage was an incredible opportunity and it made him extremely grateful.
