As the dust settled on the 2005 Southern Colleciate Athletic Conference Championship, it would be Carla's men's team who stood above the rest. Simon Thompson lead the men's team finishing in 4th and earning the honor of First Team All-Conference, for his second time. As predicted Travis Holt also played a large part in the team success at conference as he finished 7th as an individual, also earning honors as an All-Conference Player. This win marked Trinity's first conference championship, and trip to NCAA Division III nationals in 9 years.

However the day did not only belong the men, as Carla's womens team also proved formidable in the 2005 season, finishing 2nd in the bid for a conference championship. With such a high academic standard, Carla had developed a successful team that was soon to be nationally celebrated in the golf community.
