With the women’s golf team having been founded at Trinity, and introduced to the SCAC in the spring of 1995. Carla has been the head of the women’s program for all but 3 seasons. While the Trinity women won Conference in their first season in 1995, there was a clear performance difference as Carla took over, as the women won in 1995 with a two-day score of 926, while Carla’s 2004 team that finished in 2nd at conference had a two-day score of 670, a difference and marked historical improvement of more than 256 shots.

While Carla lead the women’s team to a great finish in 2005,  the real dominance of the program can be shown over the last 4 seasons, from 2013-2016 as the team has finished in 2nd twice and won conference both in 2014 and 2016. Not only has the program experienced great team success, but Carla also fostered great individual success, developing talented players such as Brigette Lee, who in 2013 not only lead the team to a second place finish in conference but also won conference title as an individual and was named SCAC Women’s Golf Player of the Year, SCAC Women’s Golf Freshman of the Year as well as one of Trinity women’s golf’s nine Academic All-American. The fostering and development has seen 7 girls from Carla’s program finish within the top 30 players all-time in terms of SCAC Conference tournament play, with 6 of these girls still playing on the current roster.
