Equality in Bowling
Bowling had gained popularity among both sexes as women have had more participation in this sport relative to most sports. This general interest translated to Trinity as there were opportunities for women to participate in bowling, even before Title IX. Unfortunately there was not an official women’s bowling team until the late 70’s since there did not seem to be enough women interested in playing for the intercollegiate team even though there was an active women’s intramural bowling league. There could be three main factors which allowed for a women’s bowling team to exist and flourish at Trinity.
