Reflection Continued
If you could start over, what would you do differently?
If I could start again I would take a different approach to how I did this project. At first I wanted to go into a bunch of different sports at Trinity, but later on I realized that was going to be too much. Instead, had I gone straight into doing this project as a chronological order, I would have gotten more interviews done and even had more evidence to choose from.
What did you learn about history and/or the historical process through this project? What did you learn through this project that can be applied to life outside the classroom?
I did learn that history is written by those who have access to the medium to express themselves. That can lead to history being a little biased on some cases. In regards on what I learned through this project that can be applied outside, I learned that I should not be scared to step out the box and be bold. I have a tendency to sometimes be shy for fear of rejection even though I am an extrovert. Now that I have had to deal with rejection for interviews, I realized that the worst thing that can happen is a no because one keeps going in anything and keeps working till a good result arrives.
