80s

Trinity Rugby in the 80s was exclusively 7 a side (Olympic style) rugby. Headed by Paul Pharris, this team was NOT exclusively Trinity players. In 1986, Paul met two Trinity students in a bar, one a Frenchmen and the other an American who had been going out to play with the San Antonio club team, and decided to try to field a team under the Trinity name in. However, having a hard time recruiting players, the team only played 7 a sides and dissapeared once Paul graduated in 1988.
