Modern Team
In 2016 Tanzanian international student Calvin Usiri started a rugby 7s team. This follows the pattern established of foreigners being a catalyst in the creation of Trinity rugbysides. Along with a few other students, notably Austin Gieselman and Simba Machingaidze, they were able to form a complete 7s team. For that year, they only played 7s. Simba Machingaidze reached out to San Antonio Rugby Football Club for coaching.
The following year, the influx of rugby interested freshman and established students warranted the creation of a 15s team. Coached by San Antonio Rugby, this team is still around today.
