In 1967, Dr. Roe Johnston, one of the four founding fathers of FCA, spoke at Trinity University’s Spiritual Emphasis Week (The Trinitonian, 1969). Johnston served as the organization’s first national president and was known for his success on the football field at St. Ambrose College under Larry “Moon” Mullins, a legendary fullback under the revered coach Knute Rockne. Despite this visit, FCA was not recorded as an official student organization on Trinity’s campus until 1973.
