This generation of FCA would foster another decade of Christian Athletes on Trinity’s campus that proved to be very involved within the community. For example, in 1981, the club sponsored a basketball game, hosted in Sam’s Gym, intended to raise money to benefit muscular dystrophy. Celebrity participants included the San Antonio Spurs’ Mark Olberding and Paul Griffin, both of whom were members of the 1980’s “Bruise Brothers,” and Houston Rockets star Robert Reid (On Trinity Hill, 1981).  Unfortunately, towards the end of the decade, after FCA president Shannon Pappas and vice president Anne Hulbert graduated, FCA began another decline.
