Eventually, on September 18, 1979, the “second coming” of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes was officially recognized, this time with more numbers. In addition to McKinley himself, the duo also recruited Jim Potter, the head of intramurals, as another sponsor. Instead of having only three officers and a sponsor like the original FCA, this version included President Rasmussen, Vice President Suzy Gray (who was also a member of Gamma Chi Delta and the volleyball and basketball teams), Secretary Cary Lamb, and Treasurer Mark Maddox. Their constitution was also unanimously ratified five days later on September 23.
