Introduction

When you arrive to Trinity University’s lower campus the first thing you see is a beautifully crafted sports field surrounded by palm trees. This field is typically filled with students playing lacrosse, soccer or even getting in some conditioning. This is the Jim Potter Intramural Field and without this man Trinity University’s campus life would not be the same. Jim “Coach” Potter was much more than an employee of Trinity University. His title may have been “Director of Intramurals and Outdoor Recreation” but his impact and legacy is predicated by the impact he made on the Trinity community. He certainly made tremendous advancements to the Intramural and Outdoor recreation programs, but his true passion was making Trinity a better place for all students.
