Who is Jim Potter?
Jim “Coach” Potter was much more than an employee of Trinity University. Potter first came to trinity on a baseball and basketball scholarship to attend Trinity (Personal Interview, 2018). After he graduated he went into the service for two years (Personal Intervie, 2018). After that Potter came back to get his masters degree and was hired as the Director of Intramurals in 1967 (Personal Interview, 2018). Potter served for over thirty years as the director and made significant changes and additions to both of these programs. Potter ultimately retired in 2000 and left Trinity with his legacy as a man who cared immensely about the university and the students who called this university home.
