One aspect of Trinity’s success that may get lost in the shuffle is their fan support. Many articles about the team point out that their upcoming games were sold out, which is in sharp contrast to Trinity basketball games of today. Their current games do not even have tickets, anyone can just walk in. In spite of this, the gym is usually not even half full for any of the men’s basketball games. The fact that games were selling out for the 1969 team is remarkable and likely a reason for Trinity’s massive success. Anyone would get motivated to play in front a big crowd. Trinity was able to feed off this fan energy.
