"Peach Fuzz Five"

Trinity's five starters formed the “Peach Fuzz Five” (Basketball 1969 - the end of an era, 1969).  This group left a big impact on Trinity as a whole and were able become so formidable that they received a catchy nickname. Even immediately after the season ended, Trinity students knew they were seeing the end of a golden era of Trinity basketball that the Peach Fuzz Five created. Their reputation of a well rounded team with lots of great players obviously created buzz around campus, giving them their nickname.
