Trinity Basketball Post 1969

Bob Polk left Trinity for St. Louis University after the 1969 season. At the time Polk left, Trinity was a Division 1 program. Now, Trinity competes at the Division 3 level. Without Polk, Trinity was not able to sustain the level of excellence needed to keep competing against Division 1 schools. Trinity was annually at the top of the Southland conference with Polk at the helm. After he left, they were annually at the bottom. Trinity has seen some success at the Division 3 level, including and Elite 8 appearence in 2005.
