Brian Gottfried
Brian Gottfried was the number two man on the team as a sophmore and was ranked number 18 by USLTA. He was named an all-american in 1971 and 1972. His 1972 dual meet record was a near perfect at 21-1. He made it to the finals and lost to his teammate Dick Stockton with the final score being 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, and 6-2. Just like his temmate Dick, Paul stood out at an early age and won every singles title in Florida from 1964 up until 1970 when he went off to college.
