Effects of smokeless tobacco
Smokeless tobacco has proven to have a wide range of negative effects, some worse than others. If one has an addiction to smokeless tobacco, they may experience tooth decay in exposed roots, as well as their gums being pulled away form the teeth, never to grow back. Additionally, it may cause leathery white patches and red sores in the mouth, which both have chances of resulting in cancer. Dip and chew contain chemicals that can lead to esophageal cancer, mouth cancer, lip cancer, pharynx cancer, tongue cancer and pancreatic cancer. (betobaccofree.gov).
