Rick Mahler pitched for the Atlanta Braves during his lengthy MLB career.

Rick was the younger of the Mahler brothers, but he was a very good pitcher in his own right. He had slower velocity, but had great breaking pitches and that is what made him such a special pitcher (Hermes, 2018).

After Trinity, Mahler went on to have a 13 year career. He won 96 games, and won a World Series in 1990 with the Cincinnati Reds. In addition to the Reds, Rick played for the Atlanta Braves and Montreal Expos (Mahler, n.d). When he played for the Braves, he was able to pitch in the same game as his brother (Mahler, 2018). In the majors, he led the league in starts during two seasons, including 5 opening day starts over the span of his career, in 1985 and 1986 (Mahler, n.d). The fact that he started more than any other pitcher is very cool since there are always many great pitchers in the league at any given time.
